The Creative Conscience
A journalist, artist, and global activist for initiatives that address environmental and social issues, Tansy Kaschak works across multiple platforms and mediums to inspire modern travelers to be more conscious, to celebrate cultural diversity, and to minimize the impact of travel on the environment. She also acts as a creative sustainability consultant, helping businesses in the hospitality arena and beyond to identify and define their ecological responsibility, as well as to create opportunities to sustain and expand their message. As an artist, she uses video and scent to create nonverbal narratives that investigate the relationship between humans, nature, and technology, exploring how sensorial phenomena affects our individual and collective memory and worldly experience. In 2018, she participated on Katja Loher’s solo exhibition “What Is The Color Of Scent?” at C24 Gallery in New York, and in New Delhi. Kaschak’s reporting has been featured in numerous publications, including Condé Nast Traveller, Vogue, Cool Hunting, GQ, and A Hotel Life, and she has authored travel guides for Brazilian independent publisher Pulp Edições.
